Here's what you should know...
You don’t need to register for a class, just drop in and pay on arrival. Classes are first come, first serve but there’s ample space and we’ll make room for everyone. If you’d like to attend a workshop, please do register ahead of time.   You’ll need a yoga mat and towel, if you don’t have one we have some you can rent. Avoid cotton and constrictive clothing, wicking materials are best. Most importantly, bring your positive energy and a smile!   Make sure you get here on time, once the class starts the doors are locked and no one goes in or out.   The introductory rate is only for new students! Just ask us about it when you drop in.

Julie Bell

Julie Bell

Julie Bell enjoys practicing, teaching and sharing her love yoga with the community.
She lead the High Peaks Yoga Alliance 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings. In addition, she leads yoga retreats in the US and abraod. She is a certified Barkan Method and Level II/III Vinyasa instructor. She also has certifications in Restorative Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and Sadie Nardini’s Core Strength. Sue Murnane

Sue has been a certified fitness instructor teaching a variety of classes in the industry for over 20 years in the Adirondacks. She fell in love with Hot Yoga when the Lake Placid studio opened in 2011 and has been hooked ever since. Sue just completed our 200 hour High Peaks Vinyasa Teacher Training and is now officially a Yoga Alliance certified instructor. She currently teaches warm & hot vinyasa and Yoga Sculpt classes and is managing the Lake Placid studio.

Kristin Perry

Kristin Perry

Kristin is the owner of Hot Yoga Lake Placid. Kristin began practicing Bikram Yoga in early 2011, in order to escape the frigid Lake Placid winters. The next year she completed the Evolation Teacher Training in California. Before moving to Saratoga, Kristin taught at Lake Placid Hot Yoga. She began teaching at HYS in 2012. Kristin is also certified in Barkan Vinyasa Level II/III.

Gwen Voyer-Mcgiver

Gwen left her shiny NYC office where she worked in marketing and events to play in the Adirondack Mountains and practice yoga full time. The Mountains were calling and she finally listened as they led her straight to Lake Placid.

When she’s not in a yoga studio you can find her saying “yes” to outdoor adventure invites. Her philosophy on life is to face challenges both on and off the mat with a full heart, balanced breath and the ability to laugh at yourself.

Gwen teaches primarily Vinyasa-style yoga with a playful energetic vibe accompanied by the latests bumpin’ beats. She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with The Brooklyn Yoga Project and is registered through the Yoga Alliance. She is inspired by love, compassion, patience, and humor.

Danielle Mangold

Danielle Mangold

Danielle Mangold, has been practicing yoga for over five years, and recently received her two hundred

hour, Hot-Vinyasa Instructor Certification with Julie Bell and Cindy Lundsford. Danielle is also a Licensed

Mental Health Therapist, and feels strongly that a deliberate and consistent yoga practice can help

foster a more peaceful and compassionate view towards self and others; which, greatly improves

emotional health and stability. Danielle is also very passionate about the beautiful natural space which

surrounds, and enjoys any outdoor activities; especially, when accompanied by her two dogs.

Beth McNally

Beth McNally

Beth McNally, originally from Ohio, I moved to Saranac Lake 6 years ago and immediately fell in love with all of the beauty the Adirondacks has to offer. However, learning quickly that winters here can be challenging I was encouraged to attend a hot yoga class and was immediately hooked. From that very moment yoga set off an awakening inside of me and instantly began a series of exciting and positive changes in my life. I then decided to deepen my practice and attend yoga teacher training. I completed the course in March of 2016 through High Peaks Teacher Training 200-Hour Vinyasa Program. I am also registered with Yoga Alliance.

Marci Wenn

Marci Wenn

Marci Wenn completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher training with Julie Bell and Cindy Lunsford. She is also a Level 1 Life Force Yoga Practitioner and a Level 1 Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. Marci describes her style of yoga as compassionate and expressive with a focus on alignment. Her teaching of both Yoga and dance fitness has included many settings and diverse students from children to high school students to seniors. She enjoys creating workshops for people that include yoga soulcollage and is continuing her studies in teaching Yoga and Yoga Therapy.

Josh Garner

Josh began practicing yoga after an injury. He was a triathlete and champion power lifter.
He completed the teacher training through High Peaks Hot Yoga out of lake placid and Saratoga New York with Julie Bell and Cindy Lunsford. He has passion for yoga and continues to learn and share.
As an instructor
I promise to always speak the truth of what I teach, never teaching what I do not understand.
I promise to be present mentally as well as physically to every class
